BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCE!

Bruce Springsteen was back in the area (Hartford Civic Center - Hartford, CT) on February 28, so Steve and a few of his friends made the pilgrimage, like they always do when Bruce is in the area. We like sitting behind the stage (we get closer that way!) so these pictures show the view from our vantage point. Cell phone pictures aren't great, but they give a sense of what things looked like from where we were.

Bruce and the E-Street Band were in fine form on this evening. Here was the set list:

So Young and in Love
Radio Nowhere
Lonesome Day
Gypsy Biker
Magic
Reason to Believe
Loose Ends
She's the One
Livin' in the Future
The Promised Land
Waitin' on a Sunny Day
Janey Don't You Lose Heart
The River
Devil's Arcade
The Rising
Last to Die
Long Walk Home
Badlands
* * *Encores* * *
Girls in Their Summer Clothes
Backstreets
Kitty's Back
Born to Run
American Land

Here are some pictures from another source...probably professionals.

More basketball, as the season comes to a close.

During the season, which has now ended, everyone enjoyed watching Rebecca's JV team play. Erik even paid attention now and then!

Mom and Dad were enthusiastic, though quiet supporters! (Do you really believe the quiet part??)
Even Rebecca's friends came along regularly to support her and the team!

It was all good fun and while we're sorry that it's over, Rebecca doesn't miss the daily practices!

She'll miss this though!

Now it's time for SPRING TRACK & FIELD!

Deer in the backyard!

These were taken just a few minutes ago. These three deer, feeding in the woods behind the house, also visited us earlier in the day. This is one of the benefits of having woods behind the house!

How is this blog built?

It takes a new sofa and a lot of beer!

2007-2008 North Reading Girls JV Basketball
