For the Spring of 2009, Erik joined the North Reading Middle School Ultimate Frisbee team. If you are baffled by the term "Ultimate Frisbee", you're not alone. Apparently, Ultimate Frisbee is kind of like football, played with Fribees. You move the Frisbee up the field by passing it to teammates. You're not allowed to run with the Frisbee in your possession.
Here Erik shows off some of his Frisbee skills.
I'm pretty sure he's faking it here!
He had a good time this year during a season that just ended. It was more skills learning than actual playing, but Erik expects there to be more playing when he's in 8th grade next year.
